Paula Reyer Nemec

Paul Gardner once said “A painting is never finished it simply stops in an interesting place. I strive to create those interesting places using a vast range of media, Acrylics, Oils on canvas and paper, molded papers that often become sculptural and steel sculptures that often become functional furniture pieces. My pieces verge on the abstract with a touch of reality either in the symbols, shapes or figurative work. I am always painting my inner vision of the world around me and delight in capturing the human condition.. I work at combining the visual and the verbal, the abstract and the conceptual.

My passion is the perseverance of the creative process. To always be changing and growing, constantly asking why and why not, pushing the process in new directions. I receive great pleasure in sharing this creative process with others. This is accomplished through my teaching and lecturing around the country. "My art and my life are always in process, always changing, taking new shapes and going down different avenues of creativity."
